Pastor

          John Hernandez is the Pastor over Safe Haven Christian Center. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys archery hunting, fishing and photography. John grew up in Springfield, Oregon, and attended Springfield High School.  John & Suzanne were married in 1991 and have three sons. Pastor John is committed to bringing the word of God to his community. Safe Haven started as a bible study in 2002 in the Hernandez home, and later turned into a dedication to building strong families in the love of the Lord in a church setting. Pastor John has an anointing in teaching the word of God through breaking down of the scriptures. He preaches FAITH, to his congregation. His heart’s desire is to equip the saints to use God’s word to have victories in their everyday lives.

First Lady

          Suzanne Hernandez is the head worship leader over Safe Haven. She grew up in Eugene, Oregon and graduated from Marist High School and continued her studies at Lane Comm. College. She too enjoys the outdoors with her husband, especially archery. She has an incredible gift of hospitality, administration and service. Suzanne is the definition of serving with a glad heart, and does that and more for Safe Haven. She loves music. She is anointed in the area of worship, leading the church to breaking chains, being free, and resting in their safe place in the presence of God. Her desire is to bring song, praise, and worship to the lives of the Lord's people.
